Nova Scotia Disc Sports Society

The second issue of the online Ultimate Canada Magazine has officially been released.

I am pleased to announce that Sport Nova Scotia has approved NSDSS's application to become an Associate Member. The Associate Membership means that NSDSS will be the recognized PSO for Disc Sports in the province of Nova Scotia.

The NSDSS is pleased to announce that HURL will be handing the responsibilities of running the 2009 Nova Scotia High School Ultimate Championships to the NSDSS.

In co-operation with the Halifax Ultimate Juniors (HUJ), the NSDSS will host the 5th Annual Nova Scotia High School Ultimate Championships. The location and final date are still pending.

The primary goal of this meeting is to get an updated status of the NSDSS application to Sport Nova Scotia to become the PSO for Ultimate and Disc Golf.

The meeting is at 6:00pm at Greg's place. Please contact nsdssinfo@gmail.com for more information. We will be using skype for people not able to attend in person.

At the Nov 4th Board meeting, the Directors and members approved the amended Bylaws for NSDSS. Thanks all for attending.

The NSDSS will be holding a meeting Monday, November 4th at 6 p.m. to ratify a new set of Bylaws to include minor changes to the requirements for quorum, and to extent the term of the Directors from 1 year to 2 years.
